Prayer Times in Kemeni, Mali

Kemeni prayer times explained

Kemeni currently has about 9 hours and 34 minutes of night, from Isha at 7:27 pm through to Fajr at 5:01 am. That span is what the last third of the night is measured against, so it shifts along with the rest of the timetable through the year.

How the times are worked out

Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah is the standard applied to this page. The disagreement between methods lives almost entirely in Fajr and Isha, where the sun is below the horizon and the chosen angle decides the time. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. If the mosque down the road announces something a few minutes different, pray with the mosque.

Finding the qibla

Turn east-north-east, about 72°, for the qibla. Makkah is around 4,893 kilometres (3,040 miles) away in a straight line.

From Fajr to Isha

It starts in the dark, with Fajr at 5:01 am. The window stays open until sunrise, 6:15 am. Midday brings Dhuhr at 12:06 pm; Asr comes round at 4:20 pm. Maghrib is prayed at 5:57 pm as the light goes, then Isha at 7:27 pm. Sunrise to sunset, today runs about 11 hours and 42 minutes.

The yearly swing

There is not much of a yearly swing here. Daylight hovers around twelve hours all year in Kemeni, keeping the whole timetable within a narrow band.
