Prayer Times in Høyland, Norway

About the times on this page

From Høyland, the qibla points south-east — a bearing of about 132° on a compass. Makkah lies some 4,963 kilometres away, and the times on this page are calculated for this city specifically rather than for the country as a whole.

What changes between summer and winter

Høyland is far enough north that calculated Fajr and Isha times become unreliable around midsummer, when twilight lasts all night. Most communities this far up adopt a local ruling for those weeks; ask at your mosque. Outside that stretch, the ordinary calculation applies.

Suhoor and iftar in Høyland

Suhoor ends at Fajr — 5:26 am today — and the fast breaks at Maghrib, 4:53 pm. Around 11 hours and 27 minutes without food or water today. Scroll to the month view to see how the length changes as Ramadan progresses.

Where these times come from

Calculations come from Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. A small gap between this page and your nearest masjid is nothing to worry about; go with theirs.
