Prayer Times in Koper, Slovenia

What these times mean for Koper

Fajr 4:59 am, Maghrib 4:55 pm, Isha 6:25 pm — that is the shape of today in Koper. Those times shift by a minute or two most days as the sun moves, and this page recalculates them every morning rather than holding a fixed list.

The fasting day in Koper

Stop eating by 4:59 am; break the fast at 4:55 pm. That is about 11 hours and 56 minutes on today's times. The monthly table further down shows the window widening or narrowing day by day, which helps when planning meals a week ahead.

Koper today, prayer by prayer

It starts in the dark, with Fajr at 4:59 am. You have until 6:42 am, when the sun comes up. Dhuhr follows at 11:49 am once the sun has tipped past its highest point, and Asr at 3:12 pm. Maghrib is prayed at 4:55 pm as the light goes, then Isha at 6:25 pm. Sunrise to sunset, today runs about 10 hours and 13 minutes.

Method and madhab

The underlying method is Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. The disagreement between methods lives almost entirely in Fajr and Isha, where the sun is below the horizon and the chosen angle decides the time. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. If the mosque down the road announces something a few minutes different, pray with the mosque.

Lining up with the Kaaba

Turn south-east, about 130°, for the qibla. Makkah is around 3,580 kilometres (2,225 miles) away in a straight line.

The last third of the night

Between Isha at 6:25 pm and Fajr at 4:59 am there are about 10 hours and 34 minutes. For anyone praying tahajjud, the last third of that period is the part traditionally singled out — work back from Fajr rather than forward from Isha to find it.

Through the year

Summer and winter look like different timetables entirely in Koper. The times can shift by several hours between the two ends of the year.
