Prayer Times in Valencia, Venezuela

The prayer day in Valencia

There are around 9 hours and 30 minutes between Isha and Fajr in Valencia just now. That span is what the last third of the night is measured against, so it shifts along with the rest of the timetable through the year.

Through the year

Near the equator the timetable is remarkably stable. Valencia sees close to twelve hours of daylight in every month, so Fajr and Maghrib move by minutes rather than hours across the year.

Nearby cities

There are 3 more Venezuela cities here, and each has its own times rather than sharing Valencia's. It is worth switching to the right one when you travel — a few hundred kilometres east or west moves Fajr and Maghrib by a noticeable margin.

From Fajr to Isha

It starts in the dark, with Fajr at 5:09 am. The sun appears at 6:22 am, which ends the Fajr period. Next is Dhuhr at 12:16 pm, then Asr in the afternoon at 4:31 pm. Maghrib is prayed at 6:09 pm as the light goes, then Isha at 7:39 pm. Sunrise to sunset, today runs about 11 hours and 47 minutes.

Qibla from Valencia

Turn east-north-east, about 65°, for the qibla. That puts the Kaaba roughly 11,395 km — 7,080 miles — from here. Compass apps usually read magnetic north rather than true north, so allow a few degrees of local declination if you are setting a prayer mat precisely.

Why your mosque may differ slightly

The calculation used here is Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. The disagreement between methods lives almost entirely in Fajr and Isha, where the sun is below the horizon and the chosen angle decides the time. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. If the mosque down the road announces something a few minutes different, pray with the mosque.

Suhoor and iftar in Valencia

Stop eating by 5:09 am; break the fast at 6:09 pm. That is about 13 hours on today's times. Scroll to the month view to see how the length changes as Ramadan progresses.
