Prayer Times in Xaçmaz, Azerbaijan

Xaçmaz, hour by hour

Xaçmaz, Azerbaijan gets its own calculation here, run from the coordinates 41.47° N, 48.80° E rather than borrowed from a larger city nearby. Sunrise and sunset shift by a few minutes between neighbouring towns, and the prayer times move with them.

If you are travelling

Azerbaijan has 4 other cities covered on this site. It is worth switching to the right one when you travel — a few hundred kilometres east or west moves Fajr and Maghrib by a noticeable margin.

Method and madhab

Calculations come from Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Methods differ mainly over Fajr and Isha, because each authority settles on a slightly different angle of the sun below the horizon — a few minutes either way is normal. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. Where your local mosque differs, follow the mosque — that is the timetable the congregation keeps.

The clock against the sun

True midday in Xaçmaz arrives some 28 minutes after what the clock reads. Hence Dhuhr at 12:28 pm, with the rest of the afternoon following along behind it. It is not an error — timezones are drawn for administrative convenience, not astronomical accuracy.

Xaçmaz today, prayer by prayer

Fajr opens the day at 5:39 am, well before first light. By 7:15 am the sun is up and Fajr's time has passed. Dhuhr 12:28 pm, Asr 4:00 pm — the two that carry the middle of the day. The sun goes down at Maghrib, 5:41 pm, and the day ends with Isha at 7:11 pm. That gives Xaçmaz roughly 10 hours and 26 minutes of daylight today.

Through the year

The yearly swing here is substantial. In June, Fajr in Xaçmaz can fall in the small hours with Isha holding off until late evening; in December the whole day from Fajr to Isha is over in a short span. Check the monthly timetable rather than assuming last season's times still hold.
