Prayer Times in Bakarpur Ogairah, India

Bakarpur Ogairah, hour by hour

Between the last prayer of one day and the first of the next, Bakarpur Ogairah gets roughly 9 hours and 56 minutes of darkness. Everything else on this page hangs off the same two points: when the sun sets and when it comes back.

Why your mosque may differ slightly

Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah is the standard applied to this page. The disagreement between methods lives almost entirely in Fajr and Isha, where the sun is below the horizon and the chosen angle decides the time. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. If the mosque down the road announces something a few minutes different, pray with the mosque.

Today's timetable

The first call comes at 4:27 am, for Fajr. By 5:46 am the sun is up and Fajr's time has passed. After the sun peaks, Dhuhr is prayed at 11:24 am, and Asr at 3:24 pm. Maghrib is prayed at 5:01 pm as the light goes, then Isha at 6:31 pm. Sunrise to sunset, today runs about 11 hours and 15 minutes.

Why Dhuhr lands where it does

True midday in Bakarpur Ogairah arrives some 36 minutes before what the clock reads. It explains the 11:24 am Dhuhr — the timezone boundary is drawn some way from this city's own meridian. It is not an error — timezones are drawn for administrative convenience, not astronomical accuracy.
