Prayer Times in Chās, India

Chās, hour by hour

Facing the Kaaba from Chās means turning west, roughly 277°. The Kaaba is about 4,746 kilometres off; the timetable below comes from this city's own coordinates.

Through the year

The seasons show here without dominating. Summer in Chās brings earlier Fajr times and a later Isha; winter pulls everything inward, and Maghrib can arrive while the afternoon still feels unfinished. Expect an hour or two of movement between the extremes.

A quirk of the timezone

The sun reaches its high point roughly 31 minutes before noon here. That is why Dhuhr sits at 11:29 am rather than just past midday, and it carries through to Asr, Maghrib and Isha as well. Nothing is wrong with the calculation; timezones are political lines, and the sun does not consult them.

Fasting hours

Suhoor ends at Fajr — 4:31 am today — and the fast breaks at Maghrib, 5:09 pm. Around 12 hours and 38 minutes without food or water today. The monthly table further down shows the window widening or narrowing day by day, which helps when planning meals a week ahead.

A walk through today's times

It starts in the dark, with Fajr at 4:31 am. You have until 5:49 am, when the sun comes up. Next is Dhuhr at 11:29 am, then Asr in the afternoon at 3:33 pm. Sunset brings Maghrib at 5:09 pm; Isha is the last, at 6:39 pm. That is some 11 hours and 20 minutes between the sun coming up and going down.

A note on the method used

Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah is the standard applied to this page. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. Asr here follows the Hanafi reckoning, which places it noticeably later in the afternoon than the other schools would. A small gap between this page and your nearest masjid is nothing to worry about; go with theirs.
