Prayer Times in Hārua, India

Prayer times in Hārua

Sunrise 5:43 am, sunset 5:00 pm — about 11 hours and 17 minutes of daylight in Hārua today. None of the five are fixed to the clock — they follow the sun, and the sun keeps different hours in every month.

Method and madhab

These times follow Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. A small gap between this page and your nearest masjid is nothing to worry about; go with theirs.

The fasting day in Hārua

Suhoor ends at Fajr — 4:24 am today — and the fast breaks at Maghrib, 5:00 pm. Around 12 hours and 36 minutes without food or water today. Scroll to the month view to see how the length changes as Ramadan progresses.

The clock against the sun

True midday in Hārua arrives some 38 minutes before what the clock reads. That is why Dhuhr sits at 11:22 am rather than just past midday, and it carries through to Asr, Maghrib and Isha as well. Nothing is wrong with the calculation; timezones are political lines, and the sun does not consult them.

Season by season in Hārua

Across the year the Hārua timetable shifts by an hour or two at each end — long summer evenings push Isha back, short winter days crowd Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib together.
