Prayer Times in Rājkot, India

The prayer day in Rājkot

Rājkot currently has about 9 hours and 51 minutes of night, from Isha at 7:41 pm through to Fajr at 5:32 am. The whole timetable below follows the same movement — as the nights lengthen, every time on the page moves with them.

Where these times come from

The calculation used here is Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Where two calculations disagree it is nearly always Fajr or Isha: those depend on twilight, and twilight is a judgement call. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. Local practice wins over any website, this one included.

The fasting day in Rājkot

The fasting day here runs 5:32 am to 6:11 pm: suhoor closes at the first, iftar comes at the second. Today it works out to some 12 hours and 39 minutes. The monthly table further down shows the window widening or narrowing day by day, which helps when planning meals a week ahead.

The yearly swing

The seasons show here without dominating. Summer in Rājkot brings earlier Fajr times and a later Isha; winter pulls everything inward, and Maghrib can arrive while the afternoon still feels unfinished. Expect an hour or two of movement between the extremes.

The direction of prayer

The qibla from here runs west, a bearing of about 274°. That puts the Kaaba roughly 3,192 km — 1,984 miles — from here.

From Fajr to Isha

Fajr opens the day at 5:32 am, well before first light. The sun appears at 6:50 am, which ends the Fajr period. Dhuhr follows at 12:30 pm once the sun has tipped past its highest point, and Asr at 4:35 pm. Maghrib comes with sunset at 6:11 pm, and Isha closes the day at 7:41 pm. Around 11 hours and 21 minutes of daylight, all told.

The clock against the sun

The sun reaches its high point roughly 30 minutes after noon here. It explains the 12:30 pm Dhuhr — the timezone boundary is drawn some way from this city's own meridian. This catches people out regularly, but prayer follows the sun, and the clock is only the label we put on it.
