Prayer Times in Arteche, Philippines

Arteche prayer times explained

Every time on this page traces back to one pair of numbers: 12.27° N, 125.37° E, the position of Arteche itself. The difference between one town and the next is only minutes, but those minutes are the whole of Fajr and Maghrib.

Clock time and solar time

Solar noon in Arteche falls about 38 minutes before twelve o'clock. Hence Dhuhr at 11:22 am, with the rest of the afternoon following along behind it. Nothing is wrong with the calculation; timezones are political lines, and the sun does not consult them.

How much the times move

Arteche is close enough to the equator that the seasons barely register in the prayer times. Longest day and shortest day differ by very little, and Ramadan feels much the same whichever month it lands in.

Qibla from Arteche

Face west-north-west — roughly 290° on a compass — and you are pointed at the Kaaba. That puts the Kaaba roughly 9,059 km — 5,629 miles — from here.

How the day runs in Arteche

Everything begins with Fajr, 4:17 am today. Sunrise at 5:31 am closes that window. Dhuhr 11:22 am, Asr 3:37 pm — the two that carry the middle of the day. Sunset brings Maghrib at 5:13 pm; Isha is the last, at 6:43 pm. That is some 11 hours and 42 minutes between the sun coming up and going down.

Suhoor and iftar in Arteche

Suhoor ends at Fajr — 4:17 am today — and the fast breaks at Maghrib, 5:13 pm. Around 12 hours and 56 minutes without food or water today. The monthly table further down shows the window widening or narrowing day by day, which helps when planning meals a week ahead.

Why your mosque may differ slightly

These times follow Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. A small gap between this page and your nearest masjid is nothing to worry about; go with theirs.
