Prayer Times in Monreal, Philippines

Praying in Monreal

There are around 9 hours and 34 minutes between Isha and Fajr in Monreal just now. The whole timetable below follows the same movement — as the nights lengthen, every time on the page moves with them.

Why Dhuhr lands where it does

Solar noon in Monreal falls about 31 minutes before twelve o'clock. Hence Dhuhr at 11:29 am, with the rest of the afternoon following along behind it. This catches people out regularly, but prayer follows the sun, and the clock is only the label we put on it.

Fasting hours

Suhoor closes at 4:24 am in Monreal, with iftar at 5:20 pm. Roughly 12 hours and 56 minutes, going by today's figures. The monthly table further down shows the window widening or narrowing day by day, which helps when planning meals a week ahead.

The yearly swing

There is not much of a yearly swing here. Daylight hovers around twelve hours all year in Monreal, keeping the whole timetable within a narrow band.

Qibla from Monreal

From this city the direction is west-north-west, or 290° if you prefer the number. The distance works out to about 8,871 kilometres, or 5,512 miles. Compass apps usually read magnetic north rather than true north, so allow a few degrees of local declination if you are setting a prayer mat precisely.

Today's timetable

Fajr opens the day at 4:24 am, well before first light. The sun appears at 5:38 am, which ends the Fajr period. Next is Dhuhr at 11:29 am, then Asr in the afternoon at 3:43 pm. The sun goes down at Maghrib, 5:20 pm, and the day ends with Isha at 6:50 pm. That gives Monreal roughly 11 hours and 42 minutes of daylight today.

Why your mosque may differ slightly

Calculations come from Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Methods differ mainly over Fajr and Isha, because each authority settles on a slightly different angle of the sun below the horizon — a few minutes either way is normal. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. Where your local mosque differs, follow the mosque — that is the timetable the congregation keeps.

The night in between

Monreal gets roughly 9 hours and 34 minutes of night between the last prayer and the first. The final third of the night carries particular weight in the tradition, and it is measured from Isha to Fajr rather than by the clock.
