Prayer Times in Kirovgrad, Russia

Kirovgrad, hour by hour

Qibla from Kirovgrad

Face south-south-west — roughly 211° on a compass — and you are pointed at the Kaaba. The distance works out to about 4,328 kilometres, or 2,689 miles.

Suhoor and iftar in Kirovgrad

Suhoor ends at Fajr — 5:50 am today — and the fast breaks at Maghrib, 5:21 pm. Around 11 hours and 31 minutes without food or water today. The full month is listed below if you want to see where the fast is heading.

Clock time and solar time

The sun reaches its high point roughly 43 minutes after noon here. That is why Dhuhr sits at 12:43 pm rather than just past midday, and it carries through to Asr, Maghrib and Isha as well. Nothing is wrong with the calculation; timezones are political lines, and the sun does not consult them.

Why your mosque may differ slightly

The underlying method is Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. Asr here follows the Hanafi reckoning, which places it noticeably later in the afternoon than the other schools would. A small gap between this page and your nearest masjid is nothing to worry about; go with theirs.

How much the times move

There is a caveat to the summer timetable in Kirovgrad. For several weeks around the solstice the sun does not dip deep enough for a true Fajr or Isha, and the calculated values become estimates. Local scholarly guidance takes over in that period.

Kirovgrad today, prayer by prayer

Everything begins with Fajr, 5:50 am today. The sun appears at 8:04 am, which ends the Fajr period. Next is Dhuhr at 12:43 pm, then Asr in the afternoon at 3:28 pm. Sunset brings Maghrib at 5:21 pm; Isha is the last, at 6:51 pm. That is some 9 hours and 17 minutes between the sun coming up and going down.
