Prayer Times in Scordia, Italy

Scordia prayer times explained

These are Scordia's own prayer times, not a regional approximation — they come from the coordinates 37.30° N, 14.85° E. A city an hour down the road will have times a few minutes apart from these, which is exactly why a country-wide timetable is a rough guide at best.

The yearly swing

The yearly swing here is substantial. In June, Fajr in Scordia can fall in the small hours with Isha holding off until late evening; in December the whole day from Fajr to Isha is over in a short span. Check the monthly timetable rather than assuming last season's times still hold.

The direction of prayer

From this city the direction is east-south-east, or 119° if you prefer the number. Makkah is around 2,980 kilometres (1,852 miles) away in a straight line.

The calculation behind them

Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah is the standard applied to this page. Methods differ mainly over Fajr and Isha, because each authority settles on a slightly different angle of the sun below the horizon — a few minutes either way is normal. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. Where your local mosque differs, follow the mosque — that is the timetable the congregation keeps.

The fasting day in Scordia

Suhoor closes at 4:54 am in Scordia, with iftar at 5:03 pm. Roughly 12 hours and 9 minutes, going by today's figures. Scroll to the month view to see how the length changes as Ramadan progresses.

From Fajr to Isha

Fajr is at 4:54 am — early, and in darkness. The window stays open until sunrise, 6:25 am. After the sun peaks, Dhuhr is prayed at 11:44 am, and Asr at 3:24 pm. The sun goes down at Maghrib, 5:03 pm, and the day ends with Isha at 6:33 pm. That gives Scordia roughly 10 hours and 38 minutes of daylight today.
