A note on the method used

These times follow Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Where two calculations disagree it is nearly always Fajr or Isha: those depend on twilight, and twilight is a judgement call. Asr here follows the Hanafi reckoning, which places it noticeably later in the afternoon than the other schools would. Local practice wins over any website, this one included.

Antanambao today, prayer by prayer

The day's first prayer, Fajr, falls at 3:46 am. The sun appears at 5:03 am, which ends the Fajr period. After the sun peaks, Dhuhr is prayed at 11:22 am, and Asr at 3:46 pm. Maghrib comes with sunset at 5:41 pm, and Isha closes the day at 7:11 pm. Around 12 hours and 38 minutes of daylight, all told.

Clock time and solar time

The sun reaches its high point roughly 38 minutes before noon here. Hence Dhuhr at 11:22 am, with the rest of the afternoon following along behind it. This catches people out regularly, but prayer follows the sun, and the clock is only the label we put on it.
