Prayer Times in Fanzhao, China

Prayer times in Fanzhao

Fanzhao gets about 11 hours and 8 minutes of daylight today, and the five prayer times are spaced across it. That number is the one driving the whole timetable: lengthen the day and Isha moves back, shorten it and the afternoon prayers crowd together.

Fanzhao today, prayer by prayer

The day's first prayer, Fajr, falls at 5:35 am. The sun appears at 6:56 am, which ends the Fajr period. Dhuhr follows at 12:30 pm once the sun has tipped past its highest point, and Asr at 4:28 pm. Maghrib comes with sunset at 6:04 pm, and Isha closes the day at 7:34 pm. Around 11 hours and 8 minutes of daylight, all told.

Ramadan timings

The fasting day here runs 5:35 am to 6:04 pm: suhoor closes at the first, iftar comes at the second. Today it works out to some 12 hours and 29 minutes. Scroll to the month view to see how the length changes as Ramadan progresses.

Season by season in Fanzhao

The seasons show here without dominating. Summer in Fanzhao brings earlier Fajr times and a later Isha; winter pulls everything inward, and Maghrib can arrive while the afternoon still feels unfinished. Expect an hour or two of movement between the extremes.

Lining up with the Kaaba

The qibla from here runs west-north-west, a bearing of about 281°. That puts the Kaaba roughly 6,905 km — 4,290 miles — from here.

Clock time and solar time

The sun reaches its high point roughly 30 minutes after noon here. It explains the 12:30 pm Dhuhr — the timezone boundary is drawn some way from this city's own meridian. Nothing is wrong with the calculation; timezones are political lines, and the sun does not consult them.

Method and madhab

These times follow Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Where two calculations disagree it is nearly always Fajr or Isha: those depend on twilight, and twilight is a judgement call. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. Local practice wins over any website, this one included.
