Prayer Times in Guiping, China

The prayer day in Guiping

The times below are worked out for Guiping itself, from the city's own coordinates (23.40° N, 110.08° E). A city an hour down the road will have times a few minutes apart from these, which is exactly why a country-wide timetable is a rough guide at best.

Which way to face in Guiping

Face west-north-west — roughly 283° on a compass — and you are pointed at the Kaaba. Makkah is around 7,150 kilometres (4,443 miles) away in a straight line. Worth remembering that a phone compass points to magnetic north, which can sit several degrees off true north depending on where you are.

A walk through today's times

The first call comes at 5:26 am, for Fajr. Sunrise at 6:44 am closes that window. After the sun peaks, Dhuhr is prayed at 12:23 pm, and Asr at 4:26 pm. Sunset brings Maghrib at 6:02 pm; Isha is the last, at 7:32 pm. That is some 11 hours and 18 minutes between the sun coming up and going down.

Why your mosque may differ slightly

Calculations come from Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. Asr here follows the Hanafi reckoning, which places it noticeably later in the afternoon than the other schools would. A small gap between this page and your nearest masjid is nothing to worry about; go with theirs.

Ramadan timings

Suhoor ends at Fajr — 5:26 am today — and the fast breaks at Maghrib, 6:02 pm. Around 12 hours and 36 minutes without food or water today. The full month is listed below if you want to see where the fast is heading.

For tahajjud

Guiping gets roughly 9 hours and 54 minutes of night between the last prayer and the first. For anyone praying tahajjud, the last third of that period is the part traditionally singled out — work back from Fajr rather than forward from Isha to find it.

What changes between summer and winter

The seasons show here without dominating. Summer in Guiping brings earlier Fajr times and a later Isha; winter pulls everything inward, and Maghrib can arrive while the afternoon still feels unfinished. Expect an hour or two of movement between the extremes.
