Ürümqi prayer times explained

The last third of the night

Ürümqi gets roughly 10 hours and 35 minutes of night between the last prayer and the first. The final third of the night carries particular weight in the tradition, and it is measured from Isha to Fajr rather than by the clock.

How the day runs in Ürümqi

Everything begins with Fajr, 5:05 am today. The window stays open until sunrise, 6:45 am. Next is Dhuhr at 11:53 am, then Asr in the afternoon at 3:18 pm. Sunset brings Maghrib at 5:00 pm; Isha is the last, at 6:30 pm. That is some 10 hours and 15 minutes between the sun coming up and going down.

Fasting hours

Suhoor ends at Fajr — 5:05 am today — and the fast breaks at Maghrib, 5:00 pm. Around 11 hours and 55 minutes without food or water today. The monthly table further down shows the window widening or narrowing day by day, which helps when planning meals a week ahead.

Why your mosque may differ slightly

The underlying method is Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. Asr here follows the Hanafi reckoning, which places it noticeably later in the afternoon than the other schools would. A small gap between this page and your nearest masjid is nothing to worry about; go with theirs.
