Prayer Times in Fu’an, China

The prayer day in Fu’an

Fajr 4:48 am, Maghrib 5:21 pm, Isha 6:51 pm — that is the shape of today in Fu’an. They are not fixed — the sun moves them a little every day, and the page keeps up on its own.

A walk through today's times

Everything begins with Fajr, 4:48 am today. The sun appears at 6:09 am, which ends the Fajr period. Midday brings Dhuhr at 11:45 am; Asr comes round at 3:44 pm. Maghrib is prayed at 5:21 pm as the light goes, then Isha at 6:51 pm. Sunrise to sunset, today runs about 11 hours and 12 minutes.

Where these times come from

Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah is the standard applied to this page. The disagreement between methods lives almost entirely in Fajr and Isha, where the sun is below the horizon and the chosen angle decides the time. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. If the mosque down the road announces something a few minutes different, pray with the mosque.

The direction of prayer

Turn west-north-west, about 285°, for the qibla. The distance works out to about 7,979 kilometres, or 4,958 miles.

Elsewhere in China

There are 180 more China cities here, and each has its own times rather than sharing Fu’an's. It is worth switching to the right one when you travel — a few hundred kilometres east or west moves Fajr and Maghrib by a noticeable margin.

If you are fasting

Stop eating by 4:48 am; break the fast at 5:21 pm. That is about 12 hours and 33 minutes on today's times. The monthly table further down shows the window widening or narrowing day by day, which helps when planning meals a week ahead.

The yearly swing

Fu’an sits far enough from the equator for the difference to be felt. Midsummer stretches the day, midwinter compresses it, and the prayer times follow.
