Prayer Times in Heze, China

Prayer times in Heze

Everything on this page is calculated for Heze, China specifically, using the position 35.23° N, 115.43° E. The difference between one town and the next is only minutes, but those minutes are the whole of Fajr and Maghrib.

Method and madhab

The underlying method is Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. A small gap between this page and your nearest masjid is nothing to worry about; go with theirs.

Qibla from Heze

Face west — roughly 280° on a compass — and you are pointed at the Kaaba. The distance works out to about 7,388 kilometres, or 4,591 miles. If you are marking a permanent direction in a room, check true north rather than trusting a phone compass alone.

The night in between

From Isha to Fajr is around 10 hours and 15 minutes at the moment. If you pray tahajjud, the final third of that stretch is the one to aim for; counting backwards from Fajr is the easier way to locate it.

The shape of the day

The first call comes at 5:10 am, for Fajr. The sun appears at 6:38 am, which ends the Fajr period. Dhuhr 12:02 pm, Asr 3:47 pm — the two that carry the middle of the day. Sunset brings Maghrib at 5:25 pm; Isha is the last, at 6:55 pm. That is some 10 hours and 47 minutes between the sun coming up and going down.

The yearly swing

Summer and winter look like different timetables entirely in Heze. The times can shift by several hours between the two ends of the year.

If you are fasting
