Prayer Times in Nanchang, China

Praying in Nanchang

Nanchang prays Fajr at 5:24 am today, with Maghrib at 5:40 pm and Isha at 7:10 pm. Those times shift by a minute or two most days as the sun moves, and this page recalculates them every morning rather than holding a fixed list.

Isha to Fajr

Nanchang gets roughly 10 hours and 14 minutes of night between the last prayer and the first. The final third of the night carries particular weight in the tradition, and it is measured from Isha to Fajr rather than by the clock.

Through the year

Nanchang sees a large seasonal spread — very early summer Fajr times, a very late Isha, then a tightly packed winter day. The month view below is the reliable way to keep track.

A walk through today's times

The day's first prayer, Fajr, falls at 5:24 am. You have until 6:53 am, when the sun comes up. Midday brings Dhuhr at 12:17 pm; Asr comes round at 4:01 pm. The sun goes down at Maghrib, 5:40 pm, and the day ends with Isha at 7:10 pm. That gives Nanchang roughly 10 hours and 47 minutes of daylight today.

Why your mosque may differ slightly

These times follow Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Methods differ mainly over Fajr and Isha, because each authority settles on a slightly different angle of the sun below the horizon — a few minutes either way is normal. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. Where your local mosque differs, follow the mosque — that is the timetable the congregation keeps.
