Prayer Times in Ningbo, China

Ningbo prayer times explained

Ningbo prays Fajr at 4:43 am today, with Maghrib at 5:09 pm and Isha at 6:39 pm. Those times shift by a minute or two most days as the sun moves, and this page recalculates them every morning rather than holding a fixed list.

Finding the qibla

Face west-north-west — roughly 285° on a compass — and you are pointed at the Kaaba. Makkah is around 8,079 kilometres (5,020 miles) away in a straight line. If you are marking a permanent direction in a room, check true north rather than trusting a phone compass alone.

A note on the method used

These times follow Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. A small gap between this page and your nearest masjid is nothing to worry about; go with theirs.

Fasting hours

Suhoor ends at Fajr — 4:43 am today — and the fast breaks at Maghrib, 5:09 pm. Around 12 hours and 26 minutes without food or water today. The full month is listed below if you want to see where the fast is heading.

From Fajr to Isha

The first call comes at 4:43 am, for Fajr. By 6:06 am the sun is up and Fajr's time has passed. Dhuhr follows at 11:37 am once the sun has tipped past its highest point, and Asr at 3:32 pm. Sunset brings Maghrib at 5:09 pm; Isha is the last, at 6:39 pm. That is some 11 hours and 3 minutes between the sun coming up and going down.

How much the times move

The seasons show here without dominating. Summer in Ningbo brings earlier Fajr times and a later Isha; winter pulls everything inward, and Maghrib can arrive while the afternoon still feels unfinished. Expect an hour or two of movement between the extremes.

The night in between

Between Isha at 6:39 pm and Fajr at 4:43 am there are about 10 hours and 4 minutes. If you pray tahajjud, the final third of that stretch is the one to aim for; counting backwards from Fajr is the easier way to locate it.
