Prayer Times in Shengli, China

Shengli, hour by hour

As things stand today, the first prayer in Shengli is at 5:48 am and the last at 7:28 pm. Those times shift by a minute or two most days as the sun moves, and this page recalculates them every morning rather than holding a fixed list.

Today's timetable

The first call comes at 5:48 am, for Fajr. You have until 7:19 am, when the sun comes up. Midday brings Dhuhr at 12:39 pm; Asr comes round at 4:18 pm. Maghrib is prayed at 5:58 pm as the light goes, then Isha at 7:28 pm. Sunrise to sunset, today runs about 10 hours and 39 minutes.

Method and madhab

These times follow Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. The disagreement between methods lives almost entirely in Fajr and Isha, where the sun is below the horizon and the chosen angle decides the time. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. If the mosque down the road announces something a few minutes different, pray with the mosque.

The clock against the sun

True midday in Shengli arrives some 39 minutes after what the clock reads. It explains the 12:39 pm Dhuhr — the timezone boundary is drawn some way from this city's own meridian. Nothing is wrong with the calculation; timezones are political lines, and the sun does not consult them.
