Prayer Times in Suqian, China

Suqian, hour by hour

Suqian gets about 10 hours and 53 minutes of daylight today, and the five prayer times are spaced across it. None of the five are fixed to the clock — they follow the sun, and the sun keeps different hours in every month.

Fasting hours

Suhoor ends at Fajr — 4:57 am today — and the fast breaks at Maghrib, 5:17 pm. Around 12 hours and 20 minutes without food or water today. Scroll to the month view to see how the length changes as Ramadan progresses.

Method and madhab

These times follow Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. A small gap between this page and your nearest masjid is nothing to worry about; go with theirs.

The direction of prayer

Face west-north-west — roughly 282° on a compass — and you are pointed at the Kaaba. That puts the Kaaba roughly 7,672 km — 4,767 miles — from here.

From Fajr to Isha

It starts in the dark, with Fajr at 4:57 am. Sunrise at 6:24 am closes that window. Dhuhr 11:51 am, Asr 3:38 pm — the two that carry the middle of the day. Sunset brings Maghrib at 5:17 pm; Isha is the last, at 6:47 pm. That is some 10 hours and 53 minutes between the sun coming up and going down.

The yearly swing

Suqian sits far enough from the equator for the difference to be felt. Midsummer stretches the day, midwinter compresses it, and the prayer times follow.

Elsewhere in China

There are 180 more China cities here, and each has its own times rather than sharing Suqian's. It is worth switching to the right one when you travel — a few hundred kilometres east or west moves Fajr and Maghrib by a noticeable margin.
