Prayer Times in Wuxi, China

About the times on this page

Wuxi prays Fajr at 5:20 am today, with Maghrib at 5:52 pm and Isha at 7:22 pm. They are not fixed — the sun moves them a little every day, and the page keeps up on its own.

Finding the qibla

The qibla from here runs west-north-west, a bearing of about 283°. That puts the Kaaba roughly 7,243 km — 4,501 miles — from here.

A note on the method used

Calculations come from Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Where two calculations disagree it is nearly always Fajr or Isha: those depend on twilight, and twilight is a judgement call. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. Local practice wins over any website, this one included.

Wuxi today, prayer by prayer

Fajr opens the day at 5:20 am, well before first light. The sun appears at 6:40 am, which ends the Fajr period. Dhuhr 12:16 pm, Asr 4:15 pm — the two that carry the middle of the day. Maghrib comes with sunset at 5:52 pm, and Isha closes the day at 7:22 pm. Around 11 hours and 12 minutes of daylight, all told.

The last third of the night

Wuxi gets roughly 9 hours and 58 minutes of night between the last prayer and the first. If you pray tahajjud, the final third of that stretch is the one to aim for; counting backwards from Fajr is the easier way to locate it.

The fasting day in Wuxi

The fasting day here runs 5:20 am to 5:52 pm: suhoor closes at the first, iftar comes at the second. Today it works out to some 12 hours and 32 minutes. The full month is listed below if you want to see where the fast is heading.

How much the times move

Across the year the Wuxi timetable shifts by an hour or two at each end — long summer evenings push Isha back, short winter days crowd Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib together.
