Prayer Times in Yangshe, China

Praying in Yangshe

Everything on this page is calculated for Yangshe, China specifically, using the position 31.88° N, 120.55° E. It is a small distinction that matters in practice: the sun does not arrive everywhere in a country at once.

The yearly swing

Yangshe sits far enough from the equator for the difference to be felt. Midsummer stretches the day, midwinter compresses it, and the prayer times follow.

Isha to Fajr

From Isha to Fajr is around 10 hours and 8 minutes at the moment. For anyone praying tahajjud, the last third of that period is the part traditionally singled out — work back from Fajr rather than forward from Isha to find it.

Fasting hours

Stop eating by 4:48 am; break the fast at 5:10 pm. That is about 12 hours and 22 minutes on today's times. The monthly table further down shows the window widening or narrowing day by day, which helps when planning meals a week ahead.

Why your mosque may differ slightly

Calculations come from Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. The disagreement between methods lives almost entirely in Fajr and Isha, where the sun is below the horizon and the chosen angle decides the time. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. If the mosque down the road announces something a few minutes different, pray with the mosque.

Which way to face in Yangshe

Turn west-north-west, about 284°, for the qibla. That puts the Kaaba roughly 7,930 km — 4,928 miles — from here.

From Fajr to Isha

The first call comes at 4:48 am, for Fajr. The window stays open until sunrise, 6:12 am. Dhuhr 11:41 am, Asr 3:33 pm — the two that carry the middle of the day. Maghrib is prayed at 5:10 pm as the light goes, then Isha at 6:40 pm. Sunrise to sunset, today runs about 10 hours and 58 minutes.
