Prayer Times in Yushan, China

What these times mean for Yushan

There is no national timetable behind this page — Yushan's times come from Yushan's own position, 31.39° N, 120.98° E. The difference between one town and the next is only minutes, but those minutes are the whole of Fajr and Maghrib.

How much the times move

Across the year the Yushan timetable shifts by an hour or two at each end — long summer evenings push Isha back, short winter days crowd Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib together.

The direction of prayer

Why your mosque may differ slightly

The calculation used here is Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Where two calculations disagree it is nearly always Fajr or Isha: those depend on twilight, and twilight is a judgement call. Asr here follows the Hanafi reckoning, which places it noticeably later in the afternoon than the other schools would. Local practice wins over any website, this one included.

A walk through today's times

Fajr is at 4:46 am — early, and in darkness. The sun appears at 6:11 am, which ends the Fajr period. Midday brings Dhuhr at 11:40 am; Asr comes round at 3:31 pm. Maghrib comes with sunset at 5:08 pm, and Isha closes the day at 6:38 pm. Around 10 hours and 57 minutes of daylight, all told.

The last third of the night

Between Isha at 6:38 pm and Fajr at 4:46 am there are about 10 hours and 8 minutes. If you pray tahajjud, the final third of that stretch is the one to aim for; counting backwards from Fajr is the easier way to locate it.
