Prayer Times in Eschwege, Germany

Eschwege, hour by hour

Today in Eschwege, Fajr is at 5:13 am and the day closes with Isha at 6:27 pm. Each of them moves slightly from one day to the next; the page rebuilds daily, so what you see is current.

What changes between summer and winter

At this latitude, midsummer creates a real difficulty: the sky never fully darkens, so there is no moment when the sun sits far enough below the horizon to give a clear Fajr or Isha. Communities in places like Eschwege generally follow a local ruling through those weeks — the nearest large mosque or Islamic centre will have guidance. The rest of the year the calculated times work as normal.

Finding the qibla

Maghrib comes with sunset at 4:57 pm, and Isha closes the day at 6:27 pm. Around 9 hours and 48 minutes of daylight, all told.

Ramadan timings

The fasting day here runs 5:13 am to 4:57 pm: suhoor closes at the first, iftar comes at the second. Today it works out to some 11 hours and 44 minutes. The full month is listed below if you want to see where the fast is heading.

Where these times come from

Calculations come from Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Where two calculations disagree it is nearly always Fajr or Isha: those depend on twilight, and twilight is a judgement call. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. Local practice wins over any website, this one included.

The last third of the night

Between Isha at 6:27 pm and Fajr at 5:13 am there are about 10 hours and 46 minutes. If you pray tahajjud, the final third of that stretch is the one to aim for; counting backwards from Fajr is the easier way to locate it.
