Prayer Times in Uhingen, Germany

Uhingen, hour by hour

The times below are worked out for Uhingen itself, from the city's own coordinates (48.71° N, 9.59° E). Two towns an hour apart see the sun rise at different moments, and since Fajr and Maghrib follow the sun rather than the clock, those minutes carry straight through to the timetable.

Ramadan timings

Stop eating by 5:14 am; break the fast at 5:07 pm. That is about 11 hours and 53 minutes on today's times. The full month is listed below if you want to see where the fast is heading.

Through the year

There is a caveat to the summer timetable in Uhingen. For several weeks around the solstice the sun does not dip deep enough for a true Fajr or Isha, and the calculated values become estimates. Local scholarly guidance takes over in that period.

A walk through today's times

The first call comes at 5:14 am, for Fajr. By 7:03 am the sun is up and Fajr's time has passed. After the sun peaks, Dhuhr is prayed at 12:05 pm, and Asr at 3:20 pm. Maghrib is prayed at 5:07 pm as the light goes, then Isha at 6:37 pm. Sunrise to sunset, today runs about 10 hours and 4 minutes.

A note on the method used

The underlying method is Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. The disagreement between methods lives almost entirely in Fajr and Isha, where the sun is below the horizon and the chosen angle decides the time. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. If the mosque down the road announces something a few minutes different, pray with the mosque.
