Prayer Times in Melle, Germany

Praying in Melle

Melle currently has about 10 hours and 46 minutes of night, from Isha at 6:33 pm through to Fajr at 5:19 am. Everything else on this page hangs off the same two points: when the sun sets and when it comes back.

Method and madhab

The underlying method is Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Methods differ mainly over Fajr and Isha, because each authority settles on a slightly different angle of the sun below the horizon — a few minutes either way is normal. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. Where your local mosque differs, follow the mosque — that is the timetable the congregation keeps.

For tahajjud

Between Isha at 6:33 pm and Fajr at 5:19 am there are about 10 hours and 46 minutes. If you pray tahajjud, the final third of that stretch is the one to aim for; counting backwards from Fajr is the easier way to locate it.

Melle today, prayer by prayer

Fajr is at 5:19 am — early, and in darkness. The window stays open until sunrise, 7:16 am. After the sun peaks, Dhuhr is prayed at 12:10 pm, and Asr at 3:15 pm. The sun goes down at Maghrib, 5:03 pm, and the day ends with Isha at 6:33 pm. That gives Melle roughly 9 hours and 47 minutes of daylight today.

The fasting day in Melle

Suhoor closes at 5:19 am in Melle, with iftar at 5:03 pm. Roughly 11 hours and 44 minutes, going by today's figures. The full month is listed below if you want to see where the fast is heading.

Through the year

There is a caveat to the summer timetable in Melle. For several weeks around the solstice the sun does not dip deep enough for a true Fajr or Isha, and the calculated values become estimates. Local scholarly guidance takes over in that period.
