There are 36 more Germany cities here, and each has its own times rather than sharing Frankfurt's. It is worth switching to the right one when you travel — a few hundred kilometres east or west moves Fajr and Maghrib by a noticeable margin.

A walk through today's times

It starts in the dark, with Fajr at 5:22 am. By 7:15 am the sun is up and Fajr's time has passed. Dhuhr 12:09 pm, Asr 3:15 pm — the two that carry the middle of the day. Sunset brings Maghrib at 5:02 pm; Isha is the last, at 6:32 pm. That is some 9 hours and 47 minutes between the sun coming up and going down.

Through the year

Frankfurt is far enough north that calculated Fajr and Isha times become unreliable around midsummer, when twilight lasts all night. Most communities this far up adopt a local ruling for those weeks; ask at your mosque. Outside that stretch, the ordinary calculation applies.

Ramadan timings

Suhoor ends at Fajr — 5:22 am today — and the fast breaks at Maghrib, 5:02 pm. Around 11 hours and 40 minutes without food or water today. The full month is listed below if you want to see where the fast is heading.

The calculation behind them

The underlying method is Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. Asr here follows the Hanafi reckoning, which places it noticeably later in the afternoon than the other schools would. A small gap between this page and your nearest masjid is nothing to worry about; go with theirs.
