Prayer Times in Bambuí, Brazil

Bambuí, hour by hour

Fajr 4:03 am, Maghrib 6:13 pm, Isha 7:43 pm — that is the shape of today in Bambuí. They are not fixed — the sun moves them a little every day, and the page keeps up on its own.

A note on the method used

The underlying method is Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. The disagreement between methods lives almost entirely in Fajr and Isha, where the sun is below the horizon and the chosen angle decides the time. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. If the mosque down the road announces something a few minutes different, pray with the mosque.

Finding the qibla

Turn east-north-east, about 68°, for the qibla. The distance works out to about 10,396 kilometres, or 6,460 miles. If you are marking a permanent direction in a room, check true north rather than trusting a phone compass alone.

The yearly swing

The seasons show here without dominating. Summer in Bambuí brings earlier Fajr times and a later Isha; winter pulls everything inward, and Maghrib can arrive while the afternoon still feels unfinished. Expect an hour or two of movement between the extremes.

Suhoor and iftar in Bambuí

Stop eating by 4:03 am; break the fast at 6:13 pm. That is about 14 hours and 10 minutes on today's times. Scroll to the month view to see how the length changes as Ramadan progresses.

From Fajr to Isha

It starts in the dark, with Fajr at 4:03 am. You have until 5:23 am, when the sun comes up. Dhuhr follows at 11:48 am once the sun has tipped past its highest point, and Asr at 4:18 pm. Maghrib is prayed at 6:13 pm as the light goes, then Isha at 7:43 pm. Sunrise to sunset, today runs about 12 hours and 50 minutes.

The night in between

Between Isha at 7:43 pm and Fajr at 4:03 am there are about 8 hours and 20 minutes. For anyone praying tahajjud, the last third of that period is the part traditionally singled out — work back from Fajr rather than forward from Isha to find it.
