Prayer Times in Encruzilhada, Brazil

Praying in Encruzilhada

Today runs to roughly 12 hours and 38 minutes of daylight in Encruzilhada, from sunrise at 5:08 am to sunset at 5:46 pm. That number is the one driving the whole timetable: lengthen the day and Isha moves back, shorten it and the afternoon prayers crowd together.

How the times are worked out

These times follow Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. The disagreement between methods lives almost entirely in Fajr and Isha, where the sun is below the horizon and the chosen angle decides the time. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. If the mosque down the road announces something a few minutes different, pray with the mosque.

The clock against the sun

Solar noon in Encruzilhada falls about 33 minutes before twelve o'clock. Hence Dhuhr at 11:27 am, with the rest of the afternoon following along behind it. It is not an error — timezones are drawn for administrative convenience, not astronomical accuracy.

Finding the qibla

Turn east-north-east, about 67°, for the qibla. That puts the Kaaba roughly 9,711 km — 6,034 miles — from here.

How much the times move

The seasons show here without dominating. Summer in Encruzilhada brings earlier Fajr times and a later Isha; winter pulls everything inward, and Maghrib can arrive while the afternoon still feels unfinished. Expect an hour or two of movement between the extremes.
