What these times mean for Ouroeste

Sunrise 5:41 am, sunset 6:29 pm — about 12 hours and 48 minutes of daylight in Ouroeste today. Prayer times are anchored to the sun rather than the clock, so as that figure grows and shrinks across the year, every time below moves with it.

The last third of the night

Between Isha at 7:59 pm and Fajr at 4:22 am there are about 8 hours and 23 minutes. The final third of the night carries particular weight in the tradition, and it is measured from Isha to Fajr rather than by the clock.

The shape of the day

The first call comes at 4:22 am, for Fajr. The sun appears at 5:41 am, which ends the Fajr period. After the sun peaks, Dhuhr is prayed at 12:05 pm, and Asr at 4:35 pm. Sunset brings Maghrib at 6:29 pm; Isha is the last, at 7:59 pm. That is some 12 hours and 48 minutes between the sun coming up and going down.

The fasting day in Ouroeste

Suhoor ends at Fajr — 4:22 am today — and the fast breaks at Maghrib, 6:29 pm. Around 14 hours and 7 minutes without food or water today. The monthly table further down shows the window widening or narrowing day by day, which helps when planning meals a week ahead.

Where these times come from

Calculations come from Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. Asr here follows the Hanafi reckoning, which places it noticeably later in the afternoon than the other schools would. What changes between summer and winter

Ouroeste sits far enough from the equator for the difference to be felt. Midsummer stretches the day, midwinter compresses it, and the prayer times follow.

The direction of prayer

Face east-north-east — roughly 70° on a compass — and you are pointed at the Kaaba. Makkah is around 10,825 kilometres (6,726 miles) away in a straight line.
