Prayer Times in Goiânia, Brazil

Praying in Goiânia

There are around 12 hours and 41 minutes between sunrise and sunset in Goiânia today. That number is the one driving the whole timetable: lengthen the day and Isha moves back, shorten it and the afternoon prayers crowd together.

The calculation behind them

Calculations come from Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. A small gap between this page and your nearest masjid is nothing to worry about; go with theirs.

Finding the qibla

Face east-north-east — roughly 69° on a compass — and you are pointed at the Kaaba. Makkah is around 10,585 kilometres (6,577 miles) away in a straight line. Compass apps usually read magnetic north rather than true north, so allow a few degrees of local declination if you are setting a prayer mat precisely.

If you are fasting

Suhoor ends at Fajr — 4:23 am today — and the fast breaks at Maghrib, 6:21 pm. Around 13 hours and 58 minutes without food or water today. The full month is listed below if you want to see where the fast is heading.

How much the times move

The seasons show here without dominating. Summer in Goiânia brings earlier Fajr times and a later Isha; winter pulls everything inward, and Maghrib can arrive while the afternoon still feels unfinished. Expect an hour or two of movement between the extremes.

Goiânia today, prayer by prayer

The first call comes at 4:23 am, for Fajr. The sun appears at 5:40 am, which ends the Fajr period. Midday brings Dhuhr at 12:01 pm; Asr comes round at 4:27 pm. Sunset brings Maghrib at 6:21 pm; Isha is the last, at 7:51 pm. That is some 12 hours and 41 minutes between the sun coming up and going down.
