Today in Baltimore, Fajr is at 5:59 am and the day closes with Isha at 7:37 pm. They are not fixed — the sun moves them a little every day, and the page keeps up on its own.

What changes between summer and winter

Summer and winter look like different timetables entirely in Baltimore. The times can shift by several hours between the two ends of the year.

The fasting day in Baltimore

The fasting day here runs 5:59 am to 6:07 pm: suhoor closes at the first, iftar comes at the second. Today it works out to some 12 hours and 8 minutes. The monthly table further down shows the window widening or narrowing day by day, which helps when planning meals a week ahead.

A walk through today's times

Fajr is at 5:59 am — early, and in darkness. The sun appears at 7:32 am, which ends the Fajr period. Dhuhr 12:50 pm, Asr 4:27 pm — the two that carry the middle of the day. Maghrib comes with sunset at 6:07 pm, and Isha closes the day at 7:37 pm. Around 10 hours and 35 minutes of daylight, all told.

Clock time and solar time

The sun reaches its high point roughly 50 minutes after noon here. That is why Dhuhr sits at 12:50 pm rather than just past midday, and it carries through to Asr, Maghrib and Isha as well. Nothing is wrong with the calculation; timezones are political lines, and the sun does not consult them.

Where these times come from

These times follow Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Where two calculations disagree it is nearly always Fajr or Isha: those depend on twilight, and twilight is a judgement call. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. Local practice wins over any website, this one included.

Qibla from Baltimore

The qibla from here runs east-north-east, a bearing of about 57°. That puts the Kaaba roughly 10,578 km — 6,573 miles — from here.
