Prayer Times in Goodyear, United States

About the times on this page

Praying in Goodyear means facing a point roughly 13,257 kilometres off, around the curve of the world. The bearing works out to roughly 30°, or north-north-east — a great-circle direction, not the one you would draw on a flat map.

How much the times move

Across the year the Goodyear timetable shifts by an hour or two at each end — long summer evenings push Isha back, short winter days crowd Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib together.

Fasting hours

The fasting day here runs 5:20 am to 5:39 pm: suhoor closes at the first, iftar comes at the second. Today it works out to some 12 hours and 19 minutes. The full month is listed below if you want to see where the fast is heading.

Goodyear today, prayer by prayer

The day's first prayer, Fajr, falls at 5:20 am. You have until 6:46 am, when the sun comes up. Dhuhr follows at 12:13 pm once the sun has tipped past its highest point, and Asr at 4:01 pm. Maghrib comes with sunset at 5:39 pm, and Isha closes the day at 7:09 pm. Around 10 hours and 53 minutes of daylight, all told.

A note on the method used

The underlying method is Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. Where two calculations disagree it is nearly always Fajr or Isha: those depend on twilight, and twilight is a judgement call. For Asr this page uses the Hanafi position — later in the day than the majority view. Local practice wins over any website, this one included.
