Prayer Times in Las Vegas, United States

Las Vegas prayer times explained

Today runs to roughly 10 hours and 49 minutes of daylight in Las Vegas, from sunrise at 7:20 am to sunset at 6:09 pm. That number is the one driving the whole timetable: lengthen the day and Isha moves back, shorten it and the afternoon prayers crowd together.

Where these times come from

Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah is the standard applied to this page. Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib are largely settled across methods; Fajr and Isha are where authorities part company. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. A small gap between this page and your nearest masjid is nothing to worry about; go with theirs.

The clock against the sun

The sun reaches its high point roughly 45 minutes after noon here. Hence Dhuhr at 12:45 pm, with the rest of the afternoon following along behind it. This catches people out regularly, but prayer follows the sun, and the clock is only the label we put on it.

Lining up with the Kaaba

Face north-east — roughly 36° on a compass — and you are pointed at the Kaaba. Makkah is around 12,683 kilometres (7,881 miles) away in a straight line.

Suhoor and iftar in Las Vegas

Suhoor ends at Fajr — 5:52 am today — and the fast breaks at Maghrib, 6:09 pm. Around 12 hours and 17 minutes without food or water today. The monthly table further down shows the window widening or narrowing day by day, which helps when planning meals a week ahead.

How much the times move

Las Vegas sees a large seasonal spread — very early summer Fajr times, a very late Isha, then a tightly packed winter day. The month view below is the reliable way to keep track.
