Prayer Times in Orlando, United States

Orlando prayer times explained

Fajr 6:13 am, Maghrib 6:43 pm, Isha 8:13 pm — that is the shape of today in Orlando. They are not fixed — the sun moves them a little every day, and the page keeps up on its own.

From Fajr to Isha

Everything begins with Fajr, 6:13 am today. You have until 7:35 am, when the sun comes up. Dhuhr 1:09 pm, Asr 5:06 pm — the two that carry the middle of the day. Maghrib is prayed at 6:43 pm as the light goes, then Isha at 8:13 pm. Sunrise to sunset, today runs about 11 hours and 8 minutes.

If you are fasting

Stop eating by 6:13 am; break the fast at 6:43 pm. That is about 12 hours and 30 minutes on today's times. Scroll to the month view to see how the length changes as Ramadan progresses.

Lining up with the Kaaba

Turn north-east, about 55°, for the qibla. The distance works out to about 11,613 kilometres, or 7,216 miles. If you are marking a permanent direction in a room, check true north rather than trusting a phone compass alone.

A note on the method used

These times follow Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah. The disagreement between methods lives almost entirely in Fajr and Isha, where the sun is below the horizon and the chosen angle decides the time. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. If the mosque down the road announces something a few minutes different, pray with the mosque.

Why Dhuhr lands where it does

The sun reaches its high point roughly 69 minutes after noon here. It explains the 1:09 pm Dhuhr — the timezone boundary is drawn some way from this city's own meridian. This catches people out regularly, but prayer follows the sun, and the clock is only the label we put on it.

The night in between

Orlando gets roughly 10 hours of night between the last prayer and the first. The final third of the night carries particular weight in the tradition, and it is measured from Isha to Fajr rather than by the clock.

Season by season in Orlando

Across the year the Orlando timetable shifts by an hour or two at each end — long summer evenings push Isha back, short winter days crowd Dhuhr, Asr and Maghrib together.
