Prayer Times in Phoenixville, United States

Praying in Phoenixville

The night in Phoenixville runs about 10 hours and 23 minutes at the moment — Isha at 7:32 pm to Fajr at 5:55 am. Everything else on this page hangs off the same two points: when the sun sets and when it comes back.

How much the times move

Phoenixville sees a large seasonal spread — very early summer Fajr times, a very late Isha, then a tightly packed winter day. The month view below is the reliable way to keep track.

Which way to face in Phoenixville

The qibla from here runs east-north-east, a bearing of about 57°. That puts the Kaaba roughly 10,449 km — 6,493 miles — from here. Worth remembering that a phone compass points to magnetic north, which can sit several degrees off true north depending on where you are.

Ramadan timings

The fasting day here runs 5:55 am to 6:02 pm: suhoor closes at the first, iftar comes at the second. Today it works out to some 12 hours and 7 minutes. The full month is listed below if you want to see where the fast is heading.

A quirk of the timezone

The sun reaches its high point roughly 46 minutes after noon here. That is why Dhuhr sits at 12:46 pm rather than just past midday, and it carries through to Asr, Maghrib and Isha as well. Nothing is wrong with the calculation; timezones are political lines, and the sun does not consult them.

Where these times come from

Umm Al-Qura University, Makkah is the standard applied to this page. Where two calculations disagree it is nearly always Fajr or Isha: those depend on twilight, and twilight is a judgement call. Asr is Hanafi on this page, so expect it later than a Shafi timetable would show. Local practice wins over any website, this one included.

For tahajjud

From Isha to Fajr is around 10 hours and 23 minutes at the moment. If you pray tahajjud, the final third of that stretch is the one to aim for; counting backwards from Fajr is the easier way to locate it.

How the day runs in Phoenixville

Fajr is at 5:55 am — early, and in darkness. Sunrise at 7:29 am closes that window. Dhuhr follows at 12:46 pm once the sun has tipped past its highest point, and Asr at 4:21 pm. Maghrib comes with sunset at 6:02 pm, and Isha closes the day at 7:32 pm. Around 10 hours and 33 minutes of daylight, all told.
